You are broken... I can fix it.

I'm a natural progression of the species. Evolution is a part of nature, and nature kills. Simple, right?

When I was a kid ... I used to wish some stranger would come and tell me my family wasn't really my family. They weren't bad people, they were just ... insignificant. And I wanted to be different. Special. I wanted to change. A new name, a new life. The watchmaker's son ... became a watchmaker. It is so futile. And I wanted to be ... important.

My name is Gabriel Gray, you may know me from other names though... Like the Boogeyman. or Patient Zero. But you may know me better by the name Sylar.

*curls up into a ball while clutching his stomach and begins vomiting*

*spits blood out of her mouth, still clutching her own stomach and trying really hard not to throw up* Motherfucker!

*is finally done throwing up and wipes his mouth* Don’t fucking touch me!

You’re fucking deserve it, you worthless piece of shit! *draws her leg back to kick him again*

*Bursts through the door, hand ready to force Bobby into a wall until he sees Jessa actually the one beating Bobby up*

Should I butt in now? it can be Bobby, Jessa, Gabe?

Not Just a Walk in the Park

He nodded to what she asked him to do and picked his son up with the keys and toys he had around them, moving the stroller off the blanket, put everything in the bottom and then got Noah in his seat. Buckling him up he gave him a kiss on the forehead and grinned happily. Even though there was still so much to do, he was so happy. So happy to finally have her on his side, the right side, with their son, and they could finally be the family they were going to be. He wanted to settle this thing with Todd, and after he let Jessa do what she needed to confront him, he’d keep Todd as his hostage. His father could care less if he killed Todd or not but he could get so much information from him, and he’d do anything to get it.

“You should call, or text Sasan about taking Noah out, would be best if we got the house to ourselves.” He said, going to the other side of the stroller and wheeled it around so they both faced Jessa.

As soon as Gabriel had everything clear of the blanket, Jessa picked it up off the ground and quickly folded it, trying her best not to let her anger show. If it weren’t for Noah, she would have wadded the thing up and would have been dragging Gabriel to the house rather forcefully. She hadn’t gone far, having not wanted to borrow Sasan’s car and using the walk to clear her mind a bit before Gabe had showed. Now, she wanted nothing more than to run the rest of the way, not stopping until she had Todd pinned underneath her with her fists pounding repeatedly into his stupid face.

Once the blanket was stored in the bottom of the stroller with everything else, she pulled her phone out of her pocket, already in the middle of a text to Sasan. “Already got it covered. I know Noah is probably too young to remember any of this, but I can’t completely go off on Todd if he’s in the room. I don’t want him to see my anger this bad.”

“I could get us there faster, just might want to get away from people.” He suggests using his abilities to get them there, so they couldn’t waste any time. He could picture Todd at the house now, just waiting around, maybe talking with Sasan who he knew didn’t really like Todd but said nothing- After all a lot of people didn’t like his boyfriend either, so he couldn’t do anything about that. He waits till Jessa gets the things in the back of the stroller before pulling it back so it was on two wheels which was easier to get across the grass.

“Good, he can just get him somewhere else, would be best to take Bobby with him as well, Bobby is already scared shitless of me,” that small smirk weaved on his lips at that thought, he may not be as horrible as he had been but he still got a kick out of when people freaked out around him, especially when they deserved it. “Never know what he might hold onto, and we’ll need to get Todd strapped to a chair maybe. He’ll run if he knows we know about him being apart of the scheme. It’d be best if you got Noah away with Sasan and I stay away for a minute or so, then I will come and get him talking. We can be the good cop and bad cop, or bad cop and bad cop.” He grinned.

“You couldn’t have stopped it, even I had a hard time trying to sort out my thoughts, with all the drugs and the things they rummaged around in my brain. It’s not good, not healthy.” He shook his head, “someone I know, or knew… Dont’ know where he is now but his name was Hiro and he could travel through time and space and he almost died, because it was too much on his brain, he could have died… it was a miracle that he didn’t.”

“He wants to help, and he’d be good help, he knows where Noah is, where the are keeping him and all the others. I’ll do whatever you need me to do. It might scare Todd more to have me there, but frankly I don’t give a shit, he is as bad as the rest of them, pulling you in like this, making whatever deal it was with my father.” He sighs out a rough breath of air and looks down at their hands. “Bobby knows, but maybe I can talk to Sasan, about everything, and if he doesn’t believe me~ I’ll show him. He’s troubled as it is though, might be good that he isn’t there? He could take Noah?”

Jessa sighed once more and nodded. “I’m just…pissed off. It’s bad enough that Todd messed with me, but he threw our son into the middle of it, whether he meant to or not. The baby him, I mean. The fact that they took him as a teenager…well, put it this way. If I can get my hands on one of Anthea’s guns, people are going to die and I won’t think twice about it.”

She smiled slightly and looked down at their hands as well. “Even through all of this…being with you still felt right. It was like it was right in a way I couldn’t explain. Something…deep down, I guess. Not to sound cheesy but almost like I knew in my heart and soul. I dunno. Now I probably sound like some sort of sap but who cares? I’ve never cared what people thought of me before so why start now?”

She paused as she considered his words, tilting her head slightly in thought. “When did Bobby find out? I have no idea what’s going on with Sas exactly, but something does seem off. He’s not as happy. All he told me was that it was because of all the fighting going on between him and Bobby. Who knows. I definitely want you there when I confront Todd. I know Sasan just wants me to get everything sorted. I could just ask him to go upstairs with Noah or something. I don’t want to stress either of them out anymore than they already are. Either way, we should probably leave and head back now before I decide to stop and buy something I can use as a weapon on the way.”

He nods and sighs, looking at Noah and shook his head. Gabriel seemed calm, but there was a fire raging inside him and it would be hard to put it out, for the sake of his love and their son he’d manage to remain calm when confronting Todd, maybe he’d be able to let lose on him later to get the information he wanted on where his father was and where Noah was as well, Simon didn’t have all the answers he wanted, Todd would. “Why use guns when you’ve got me?” He grins, “I’m a swiss army knife of super powers.”

“I don’t think it sounds cheesy, I think it’s sweet, and true… I couldn’t stop thinking about you, and even though everything was wrong, I knew I had to make it right… Make this stop and get you back. Because I love you, I love both of you, I’d rather die than live without you two in my life… You two are really the only ones I’ve ever cared for this much, ever.” He sits up so he could kiss her on the cheek, giving her hand a light squeeze.

“You might not remember but we had a problem with Bobby not too long ago, he hurt Sasan and I went off to send a message, things got a little to rough and threw him through a wall, almost set him on fire… But he got the message alright.” He smirks, “when this is over, talk to him, maybe. It will all be fine. Him and Noah out of the way might be best, just while us three talk.” He gives a final nod and looks over at Noah, “Let’s go, get this straightened out.” He brings his free hand up to gently hold her chin so he could kiss her on the lips, Noah began to giggle and wave his toy in the air, before it shoots out and smacks Gabriel on the head.

“I remember Bobby hitting Sasan but not…not you going after Bobby,” Jessa admitted with a frown. She felt guilty for not remembering that. Even knowing that someone had messed with her memories, she still wasn’t sure if she’d ever get back what she had lost and that terrified her more than anything. “I’ve missed you so much…I remember you being busy but when you came home, it was still…different. I cared more about getting to see you than the amount of time we had together. With Todd…well, let’s just say I’ve started a lot of rows. I’m constantly angry and irritated.”

As soon as his hand touched her chin, Jessa fell silent. It was a feat that many wished they could achieve but only Gabriel seemed capable of managing naturally. She returned his kiss happily, pulling away and laughing softly as she heard the dull thud of a toy hitting the side of his head. “I think Noah wants some attention, too.”

“All memories of me after the time you thought I had left must have been erased, he doesn’t leave it half done.” He watches Jessa with soft eyes, filled with a bit of sadness, sorrow, anger, all mixed into his brown eyes. He hated that they did this, erased memories she might not even get back, the things that their older son said about her being the best mom he could ask for, things like that, that might be lost for a long while. He had been to their flat several times, knowing she had kept paying for it. A lot was cleared out but he could still look and touch things that made him remember and want to go back when it was heavenly, with them together asleep on the couch or making pancakes in the morning. She wouldn’t remember those times, and maybe he could do better at being at home, just leave work for a while and count on his ability to make the money he needs so he can stay with them till all of this was over, and when it was they could settle and have the life they wanted, get married, help Noah grow up with his abilities, be the family Gabriel wished he had all his life.

After their kiss and the wack on his head he laughed and dropped his head against her shoulder for a moment before sitting up right and leaned over to grab Noah and pull him into his arms. “Sassy little guy aren’t you?” He kisses Noah’s head and had a little hand pat his cheek, he blew them up so when he hit them he’d make that funny sound and Noah laughed, still hitting his cheeks. “We should get back to the house.”

Jessa could read the emotions in his eyes and she frowned, feeling terrible but knowing there was nothing she could do about it no matter what she tried. If she could, she’d go back to that night when she ran into Todd for the first time in years and just walk away without the promise of seeing each other again. If she hadn’t have been so stupid and trusting of her old friend, none of this would have happened! It didn’t matter what Gabriel said. She’s still be mad at herself and there was nothing he could do to change her mind.

“Yeah, we probably should,” she agreed with a nod, standing up and flexing onto her toes to crack her ankles. A confrontation may not be the best idea, but it was exactly what she needed. As soon as she saw Todd, she was going to go straight for his throat and sink her claws in. That sick son of a bitch wasn’t going to get a shred of mercy out of her. “Would you mind putting him in the stroller while I fold the blanket back up?”
